Bathurst Light Car Club member Doug Barry (Lola F3000) will want to go one better after finishing second outright at round one in Canberra. With the absence of round one winner Tim Edmonson (Gould), Doug’s competition will come from veteran hillclimber Ron Hay in his Synergy Dallara, who finished third at the cars first outing in Canberra. Bathurst Light Car Club will have three other drivers in the fifty two car field, Scott Tutton (Lancer Evo 2), Phillip Edwards (Mini Clubman) and Ron Gallagher (Ford Capri).
