Motorsport Australia recently announced the NSW/ACT Official of the Year for 2023 and congratulations go to Scott Sims.

Scott has been involved with BLCC since 2000.  In his time with the club he has been a competitor, event official, club committee person leading to his 13 year  tenure as Vice President.  Scott's tasks have included all activitiies associated with the setting up of event equipment, tow truck duties as well as Fire and Rescue official for the events.

Scott was a major figure in the BLCC securing a lease from Bathurst Regional Council for the area now known as the John Windsor Motorsport Park (The Quarry) where the club conducts the very successful Motorkhana and Khanacross events.  Scott has seen his foresight with this venture bring many benefits to the club especially the implementation of the successful  BLCC Junior program.

This Australian Hillclimb was the first hillclimb Live Streamed in Australia and gained over 330,000 views of the event especially from North America and Europe along with many viewers in Australia. Blendline TV, our partner in this effort to promote hillclimbing in Australia, were very excited by the result.
