It's been a very sad week for Bathurst Light Car Club with the passing of two Life Members Christine Wells and Brian Nightingale.

Christine Wells is a former BLCC club Secretary having held this role over many years.  Christine was also a great believer in the junior program conducted by the club and spent much time encouraging juniors as well as officiating at multiple Club, State and National events. Christine was always prepared to offer assistance with all events conducted by the club, speed event competitors would  remember her doing the secretarial task of licence checking at events.

Vale Brian Nightingle

Brian Nightingale, a past President, official and Motorsport competitor is probably best known for the Channel 7 footage of slamming the Tokico Mazda door after he beached the car in the sand trap at hell corner in a 1000 enduro. Brian, better known as "Nighto", was also an elite pedal cyclist in his younger years before the car racing bug took over. Nighto competed in rallycross and rallies in multiple cars as well as the great race in both an Escort and a Mazda RX7. His Motorsport knowledge is unsurpassed.

The club extends its deepest sympathies to the families of both our esteemed Life Members.
