Outright first and a new Formula Libra over 2000cc record at Kempsey’s Mt Cooperabung has propelled Doug Barry into the lead for the outright 2012 NSW Hillclimb Championship. Doug, driving his Lola F3000, set the new time of 22.997 sec on his third of four runs defeating Kempsey’s Dave Morrow (Krygger Suzuki) with Ron Hay (Synergy Dallara) third outright. Bathurst Light Car Club members also had two class winners, Scott Tutton (Evo 2) in Late Model Improved Production class and Philip Edwards (Mini Clubman) Sports Sedans 0-1300cc class. Ron Gallagher (Ford Capri) placed second in class in Improved Production 2001-3000cc.
