76th Australian Hillclimb Championship 2021 - Cancelled until 2022 Date TBC

This event has passed.

Unfortunately due to ongoing uncertainty surrounding the opening of Queensland borders to other States and Territories the MG Car Club Qld is not in a position to proceed with hosting the 2021 Australian Hillclimb Championship.  A new date for 2022 will be announced and advised in the new year.

The MG Car Club of Qld. is endeavouring to host the 2021 Australian Hillclimb Championship at the Mt Cotton Hillclimb over the weekend of 25th to 28th of November.  We are very aware of the current COVID-19 and lockdown situation that is currently in place in many states.  We remain hopeful that free movement between the states will once again be possible by the end of November.  We will continue to closely monitor the progress of closures and restrictions in the ensuing weeks to make a final decision on the 15th October, 2021 as to whether the Event will still be held this year.

This weekend will also include the inaugural running of the Australian Junior Hill Climb Championship for Junior Drivers (under 18). This initiative will bring Hill Climbs in line with all other motorsport disciples in recognition of junior sportspersons.

Details of entry, regulations etc will be published as they come to hand. https://www.facebook.com/search/top?q=australian%20hillclimb%20championships%20-%202021  "Like" this page to ensure that you get the updates once they are available.
